The corrections that Securus is making from GTL’s press release

A press release was made by Global Tel Link about their ongoing court case with Securus. Most of the claims in the press release are according to Securus, outrageous and out rightly wrong. This is why Securus is fighting back and in doing so, they have come out to make corrections on the main points that GTL was trying to give.

The first allegation that was made by GTL was that Securus was a troll and that for the 16 years that they have been in existence, they have been using lawsuits to get their way in their transactions. GTL claimed that Securus always pursues their contractual agreements and other issues until the legal community settles the issue in their favor. When the claim is looked at from an objective point of view, Securus does get a lot of contracts and get into many agreements. It is only natural that a few would end up in complications, and it does not make any sense to blame their lawyers for being great at their job.

Then, there was the claim that GTL’s technology was still being used by Securus and that they were looking for a way to get an injunction to make this stop. The stoppage is supposed to end the infringements on the patent that GTL had for the technology. On this issue, Securus stated that one cannot claim that an infringement is taking place if an injunction has not yet been given.

GTL also asserted that they were preparing to head back to the court room any time and appeal some of the rulings that had been made. Looking at the issue from an objective point of view, there is no jury that may be in a position to handle this case soon. Besides, there is no simple way to determine whether the technology from GTL had been used as by Securus as stated.

Securus has been a provider of ICT services to over 1.2 million inmates in 3500 correctional facilities across the country. Their business is ensuring that people who have been incarcerated keep in touch with loved ones.

Connecting Inmates, Friends and Families

Being the leading provider of both criminal and civil justice technology, Securus Technologies is committed to providing solutions for public safety, monitoring, corrections and investigation. Last month, it announced that they will be joining hands with Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections (LA DOC) to allow every inmate locked up at the facility one free call each day. This will aid them in staying in contact with their friends and family that might have been affected by the recent devastating floods. This program will run for a week up until seventh September.

Richard A. “Rick” Smith, the President and CEO of Securus Technologies, explained that their core business is maintaining communication between inmates and their respective circle. This took an important turn when the flooding started in Louisiana. The magnitude of the floods is so serious in that the authority has to take necessary steps to calm the stress and anxiety of the inmates.

Securus Technologies will be taking liability for the calls which is approximated to be worth three hundred thousand dollars. The drive and generosity that is portrayed by the firm required them to contribute more than just the calls. They donated fifty thousand dollars to the inmate welfare fund.it is estimated that in excess of two hundred and fifty thousand calls will be made before the September seventh deadline.

Securus Technologies is an American prison technology company that has its headquarters in Dallas, Texas. It was initially founded in 1986 and has its branch offices in Atlanta, Allen and Carrollton. It employs more than two thousand individuals and has existing contracts with three thousand correctional facilities in the United States. It mainly focuses on inmate communication, government information and parolee tracking. It announced that it had invested six hundred million in patents, technologies and acquisitions.

Incarcerated Communications Company commits wrong doings

A communications company dedicated to providing quality services to incarcerated inmates has brought breach of integrities to the attention of the public eye. The breach of integrities coming to light was committed by a communications company as well, and they’re giving the industry a bad name. Global Tel Link (GTL) has billed for services that never happened. This s a fraudulent case of matter, and Securus Technologies, a leading communications company, is presenting a series of press releases. Global Tel Link has added time to bill out phone calls and in return, collecting more money than they should have. In addition to adding time to phone calls, they are adding phone calls that were never made. If a customer made one phone call and it was billed out, they would add multiple phone calls to the bill so they could collect even more money. Securus Technologies is one of the leading companies that has stayed true to their roots and are voicing their offended opinions in the matter.

Rick Smith, who is the CEO of Securus Technologies is disappointed in the recent decision that have been made by Global Tel Link. The company was only set out to collect money and while making a profit is part of the business, meeting the customer’s needs is more important. This obviously didn’t have with GTL and Securus isn’t happy about it.

They are always advancing their products to stay active with the most recent technology and offer many different services that are suitable to each customer. Their headquarters are located in Dallas, Texas and will ensure that they continue to provide quality services in the future.
